VJ as a Musician
Another thing that I couldn't live without is Music. My best bud is my iPod nano gen 3. I love to listen to it especially when commuting. But what makes music so good and fun is when you make the music. I have a couple of instruments that I can play, guitar and piano.
I learned playing guitar way back when I was a little boy. When I learned how to play guitar I used my talent for the Lord. I volunteered being in the music ministry in the church in Binan. I was young and not that good in playing yet. But with the love for music and passion for serving God, I played. Throughout high school I didn't made an effort to get better. I love playing but never thought of excelling in it. You could consider me as a plain basic guitarist. For some reason when I entered college, I got better. I wasn't still the best guitarist but I was a lot better than before. Unfortunately I wasn't playing in church anymore. I still play christian music, singing and praising God by myself. It feels great when I can sing along with the songs that I play. Sad to say singing isn't my gift. I'd exchange my guitar skill for a rocking voice. I study different genres of songs but I love playing easy listening songs and mostly alternative. I can't play those love songs.
Now piano. It was only this summer that I had interest in playing piano. I of course know how to read notes but really slow. I reason why I started playing piano is because of some pieces like Canon. I already know to play some parts of it. I haven't dedicated my time into piano that much. I learned to play piano also with the help of my mom and younger brother who both are pianists. But when I wanted to learn a secular song I would refer to the internet. I would write down the keys and then slowly play them. I could play some songs now and I love it!
I thank God for the skill that I have. I can see my growth in Music as well. God gave us gifts for His glory and I pray that God is pleases with what I am doing. I still want to get better in playing these instruments. I know being a band would not happen or playing in front of an audience but I am still a Musician, right?
