The Real Miracle

The only real miracle that I see in my life is the time God shook me into reality that I am not a Christian without obeying. Its a big miracle first to me, a sinful dirty piece of trash (Romans 3:23), to have given the chance to hear the name of Jesus. Now that I intellectually know that Jesus is God would make me think that: "Oh I am good, I am safe and will go to heaven since that is what the bible says." but faith without action is dead (James 2:17). Part of the only miracle that happened to me is to see the worth of the bible. Without God being merciful enough for Him to reveal His words to me as perfect and true and spoken by Him (2 Tim 3:16) I wouldn't experience this miracle. To a natural man he will see the bible only as a book written by man without authority but this is normal for all the words of God is foolishness to the perishing (1 Cor 1:18). For me to hate your sinful activities and obey the things written in the bible with joy. Repenting and striving with ...

A Christian Youth

Image
1 Timothy 4:12 says "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." Paul was telling Timothy (his disciple and in his 20's) that when he preach and teach the truth, which is the Word of God, he should not be discouraged. Notice that Paul told Timothy to be an example. To live a life pleasing to God.  In SPEECH, who now a days do not curse? Sad to say that even modest girls now curse. Be careful in what you say. In the book of James, He talks about the danger of losing control of our tongue. Do you like bursting in laugher when you tease a classmate/friend or maybe you are the one making fun or saying negative things about your classmate/friend? But you who says that you are a Christian must not act this way.  In CONDUCT. Are you wearing clothes that are glorifying to God? Wait what do I mean with this? You are glorifying God with you're clothes if you help your brothers and siste...

No Pork!

While waiting for New Year's eve I played with my neighbors a pick-up basketball game. We called it "the year end game". If was fun of course I was playing the sport that I love. But what happened after the game was not something Ill love or even like. As 2011 was approaching I felt a sharp painful feeling in my left chest. It was not that painful but it was constantly hitting me. I felt the ache till my back.  Now this is the introduction why I decided to watch what I eat. I was afraid that my heart might fail and I would just die. Even while playing basketball. Starting 2011 I was cutting pork from my menu. Only pork for now cause it is fatty and clogs the arteries. I am trying to avoid fried food too but sometimes it is just impossible to resist food. Just like last night when I ate a yellow cab pizza during a meeting. That was the 1st time that I ate pork. Well I can't be perfect and totally avoid pork but the main idea is that I need to watch now what I will ea...

Sorry and Thank you

I was a bit surprised to see some saved text messages in one of my cellphones and these are texts from people who once was special to me. It then when I realized that one way or the other I hurt them or did some things not right to them. Don't think that I hurt them big time like physically or like a criminal. It also hurt me you know. Well Im blogging to say sorry to them. You know who you are if you're reading this. We might had have special or fun amazing adventures together but things sometimes do not work out and maybe its me to blame. I never NEVER wanted these things to happen but you know things like these are what makes us grow and become stronger. This blog seems a bit emo. Haha! Sorry! and Sorry again to those people! God bless you and thanks for letting me take a peek in your amazing life. Thanks for making me who I am now. :)

Just Felt Like Blogging

I know that I am not really a blogger since a blogger daily or constantly blogs events that are happening around his or her life. But for no particular reason, I am blogging today.  I have been working now for sometime and I pretty much like what I do. It proves that education really pays off. I am meeting new faces almost everyday and is looking forward for more new faces. Anyway, I decided to blog today since I know that this ordinary life of mine is not that ordinary when I think the wonder that my Lord and Saviour did for me.  Yesterday I attended a whole day seminar for Single's and it was entitled A Single Passion. It talked about the gift of being single and how important we, singles, can use it for God. I learned the advantages of being single and being used for God. My discipler once told me that the greatest joy a Christian can feel while he is alive, besides knowing that he is a genuine Christian, is being used and seeing people you've touch...

Think Great Thoughts

I'm reading a book by Chip Ingram entitled Good to Great in God's Eyes. It starts with thinking great thoughts. I read this part last week but I want to go back to remind me the importance of thinking. It says in Colossians 3:2, "Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on the earth." If I could have a field trip in my mind will I see thoughts of this world? It can be so hard not to think of the wonders that this world have to offer but the main focus is what cannot be seen. Start with the Bible. Side note here, have you seen the movie Book of Eli? I hope after watching that you will now value the Book. Soak your mind with the only absolute truth in this world, God's words and promises. Take time to notice beauty. The incredible power that made everything. Don't be so affected with the bad things happening in the world (politics, economy, calamities, etc). Dwelling on these thoughts will make you irritated, never contented, afraid. Medi...

Value of Time

When I think of the word TIME. I imagine my wrist watch ticking away second by second. It is awesome and awful how time is. Why did I say that? Its because even second, minute, hour that passes, it is history. Nobody can bring time back. It is awesome cause it is such a privilege that second by second we live. Every breathe that we take is a blessing. I also have two thoughts about time right now. First is that I am hoping that I can have more time. Not for myself. Oh yeah! It is for myself. :D There is this moments that at the end of my day I will just think of things that I could have done. I dont regret since most are selfish wants in a to-do list. But I just miss the feeling of being in control of your time. Well God allowed me to control my time a few months ago and I enjoyed them. It is true that God gives and takes away. All we need to do is trust. Trust is another thing I want to talk about. I will do that next time. Here I trust God a lot knowing that when He allows things to ...
