Not My Will But Yours Be Done
When Jesus spoke these things He gave us an example that even we have "better" plans for ourselves, the Father's plan is alway the best for us. I have my short term and long term goals in my life.
In five years:
I will go San Francisco, stay with my uncle and auntie, work, live, enjoy singlehood.
I will save money for my future. For a business and a property.
I will travel the beautiful country that God made me a citizen of.
I will start studying again. Maybe a masters degree in business or take architecture.
I will live on my own. In my dream bachelor's pad.
In ten years:
I will be married to a wonderful lady.
I will probably earn enough or more to sustain my family.
I will continue my studies.
I will play with my young kids.
I will design our own house.
I will never stop loving my God.
I start to look at these goals and I think that: I can do this! But I will never forget from the lessons that God taught me, so far, that His will will remain. He is our God, the most powerful, He has seen the beginning and the end. I'm sure He already planned the best for my life to glorify Him back.
I list these "plans" and one day I will look back and see that what I have is different from what I've listed. But regardless of what will happen as long as I follow Jesus and His words, I will be in the safest and most secure place. I surrender my life to you, oh God. Use my life to glorify you alone.
